  • Job Details
  • The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms.
  • Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotum) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.
    • Job Requirements
    • The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
    • Maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
    • Proficient in all general, breast, and vascular studies.
      • Schedule Information
      • DAY SHIFT - 5x8's 7:30a - 4p M-F
      • On Call - Rotate every 3rd Sunday.
      • Usually 2 nights during the week possibly 3.
      • Flexibility needed as departmental needs may require more.
