Facility: This premier children's hospital features a state-of-the-art 14-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and is the only facility in Nevada offering surgical congenital heart programs. The medical center maintains strong academic affiliations with the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine and provides comprehensive pediatric services including a dedicated 24-bed tertiary Pediatric ICU, newly opened 30-bed pediatric emergency department, and specialized transport services. Opportunity: Physician - Cardiac Intensivist - Pediatric Job Details: • Provide specialized critical care to pediatric patients in a state-of-the-art 14-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) • Manage care for over 400 cardiac surgical cases annually in the only congenital heart surgical program in Nevada • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team supporting ECMO and congenital heart catheterization programs • Participate in care within a dedicated 24-bed tertiary Pediatric ICU and newly opened 30-bed pediatric emergency department • Support pediatric and neonatal transport services • Contribute to academic activities with University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine residents • Ensure adherence to best practices in pediatric cardiac critical care • Engage in procedural sedation services as part of premier children's service provider • Provide leadership and continuity in patient care through rotating schedule including on-call and weekend duties • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care OR Pediatric Cardiology with extra year of CICU training • Requires active Nevada medical license or eligibility to obtain • Must provide clean malpractice and medical license history • Local residency required - relocation may be necessary • DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start date Compensation: Employed salary with benefits.
