the Position Hospitalist - Pediatrics, Pediatrics Join our
committed healthcare team as a Hospitalist specializing in
Pediatrics and make a meaningful impact on young patients' lives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality
pediatric care within a supportive environment, combining
clinic-based services with essential hospital responsibilities.
With a focus on newborn care and collaborative call schedules,
you'll be integral to delivering comprehensive pediatric healthcare
in a vibrant community setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide
pediatric inpatient and outpatient care, primarily focusing on
newborns and general pediatric patients. Participate in a rotating
call schedule, approximately 10 days per month, predominantly
covering newborns. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
including dedicated medical support staff and local pediatricians.
Utilize in-office CLIA-waived testing, laboratory, and imaging
resources to support patient care. Maintain accurate documentation
of all overtime and call-back hours. Required Skills: Valid medical
license to practice medicine in the state. Proven experience in
pediatric hospital medicine or similar clinical settings. Strong
knowledge of pediatric health issues, newborn care, and emergency
response. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability
to work effectively within a team and adapt to evolving clinical
scenarios. Nice to Have Skills: Bilingual abilities beneficial but
not mandatory. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
systems. Additional certifications in pediatric life support or
neonatal resuscitation. Preferred Education and Experience: MD or
DO degree from an accredited institution. At least 2 years of
pediatric hospitalist experience preferred. Relevant board
certification in Pediatrics. Other Requirements: Must be available
for approximately 10 days per month of call, including weekends.
Willingness to work a fixed schedule: Monday - Thursday, 0800-1200
and 1300-1700; Friday 0800-1200. Commitment to providing
