Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Prescott, AZ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,180 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Progressive Care Unit License: Active and in good standing nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract. - Minimum 1 year PCU experience. - Knowledge of EKG and IV cardiac medication administration. - Experience with peritoneal dialysis, chronic ventilators, chest tubes, epidural catheters, PCA pumps, transvenous pacing, and performing arterial or venous sheath pulls. Description: The position involves providing acute care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and surgical services. The work environment includes Philips cardiac monitors, telemetry systems, Welch Allyn vital signs monitors, and invasive monitoring tools. The unit accommodates up to 20 patients with double occupancy rooms in a fast-paced cardiac care setting. The nurse-to-patient ratio typically ranges from 1 RN to 3-4 PCU patients, depending on patient acuity. Training and orientation will cover care for patients with a variety of conditions, including post-operative cardiac surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, chronic ventilation needs, alcohol withdrawal, and renal disease. The dress code requires navy scrubs and business-appropriate hair color. Weekend shifts are required, with a preference for candidates who can float to other units. Candidates will need to possess strong clinical skills and demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care.
