Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Prescott, Arizona.
Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN
Start Date: 01/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift:
12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg
Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or
7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Every other weekend requirement (2 weekends
per 4-week schedule) • Holiday requirements include working 2 days
and an eve or 2 eves and a day for Christmas, New Years, and
Thanksgiving • Patient ratio of 1:5 on a 49-bed telemetry unit •
Float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified • First to float
for night shifts • Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts
with 80% score prior to contract signing • Required certifications:
BLS and ACLS • Navy blue scrub color requirement • One shift of
unit orientation provided • Cerner charting system experience
recommended • Must interpret and sign telemetry strips at least
once per shift • Care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI
conditions, diabetics, post-catheterization, and total joint
replacements • Experience required with basic telemetry strip
reading, CVA/TIA patients, and total joint replacement • Handle set
rate drips including Diltiazem/Cardizem • Work with respiratory
equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments • 4-week
self-scheduling system balanced by manager • Cancellation policy: 4
shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks) • Cannot
have worked with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within
past year and must live outside 50-mile radius Facility: This
medical center operates a comprehensive telemetry unit specializing
in cardiac and medical care. The facility features a 49-bed unit
with modern monitoring technology and respiratory equipment
including BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatment capabilities. The
organization utilizes Cerner electronic health records and
maintains both charge nurses and house supervisors for
comprehensive patient care coordination. The facility serves
patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and
orthopedic conditions requiring continuous monitoring. Location:
Prescott, AZ Prescott offers a unique high-desert mountain climate
