Hospitalist Physician Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,460–$7,660 Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 – Explore the iconic London Bridge, stunning lake views, and year-round outdoor activities like boating, hiking, and off-roading. Assignment Type: Locum tenens pediatric hospitalist job Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–12:00pm & 1:00pm–5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am–12:00pm Call: Approximately 10 days per month (primarily newborn care, rotating with local providers; includes weekends) Duration: 13-week contract with potential extension Hours per Week: 36 Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (varied clinic/call schedule) Facility: Level 1 Pediatric Department, Level 3 Trauma Center Start Date: December 8, 2025 Pediatric Hospitalist Job Requirements Board Certification in Pediatrics required PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required Experience with pediatric inpatient care and newborn nursery required Ability to attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries Proficiency in newborn intubation and non-invasive ventilation management (BiPAP/CPAP) Experience with circumcision procedures Preferred: Experience with advanced pediatric procedures (central/arterial lines, lumbar puncture, chest tube insertion) Minimum 1 year of pediatric hospitalist experience preferred Eligible for Arizona medical licensure Pediatric Hospitalist Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive inpatient pediatric and newborn care, including Level I Nursery coverage Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries as needed Perform newborn intubation and manage non-invasive ventilation Conduct circumcisions and other pediatric procedures Participate in a rotating call schedule, including weekend call coverage Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including office staff, medical assistants, and in-office pediatricians Document all patient encounters and call-back hours accurately Utilize in-office CLIA-waived testing and coordinate with hospital-based lab and imaging resources Apply now to join our pediatric hospitalist team in Lake Havasu City, Arizona and take the next step in your healthcare career!
