Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: NRP, Stable, AWOHN intermediate or advanced, ACLS Must-Have: Labor experience, postpartum care, stabilization of critical newborns for transfers Description: This is a state-of-the-art facility with 52 medical/surgical beds, 12 acute rehabilitation beds, 12 intensive care beds, and an eight-bed labor, delivery, and postpartum unit. The facility also has a 16-bed emergency department that operates around the clock. There are six major operating rooms and two endoscopy suites, along with a high-tech cardiac catheterization unit. The diagnostic imaging department provides all digital modalities for outpatient and inpatient testing, including digital mammograms, x-rays, PET-CTs for cancer detection, and nuclear medicine. The Picture Archival Communication system provides instant access, storage, retrieval, and display of high-quality digital images for physicians. The unit consists of 9 beds, with patient ratios varying based on acuity levels. Equipment includes IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal Dopplers, and syringe pumps. The electronic health record system utilized is Med Host and Centricity. The typical patient population includes labor, postpartum patients, and neonates. Candidates should possess strong teamwork skills and be adaptable to varying schedules. Experience in labor, delivery, and postpartum care is essential. Centricity experience is preferred. Dress code includes scrubs in black. No unacceptable attire is specified.
