Additional Information
This position involves caring for 5 to 6 patients that require
in-patient hospitalization for medical or surgical
issues/procedures. You will utilize equipment such as Pyxis
medication station, Meditech charting, Alaris IV pumps, and a
remote telemetry system. The nurse-to-patient ratio on this unit is
5-6:1. The dress code is navy blue.
During your assignment, you may occasionally float to other med
surg remote tele units on the 2nd and 3rd floors, as well as the
PCU if needed. The 2nd floor has 4 units with varying bed sizes,
and the 3rd floor has 3 units. You will receive 2 to 3 shifts of
orientation on the floor and must attend 8 hours of hospital
orientation on a Monday.
