Arizona. Canyon stands as one of the worlds leading suppliers of
avionic-standard aircraft communications, navigation and
audio/intercom systems. Canyons products have been widely adopted
and proven in-service across a wide range of civilian, paramilitary
and military fixed-wing and rotorcraft applications. Over the
years, weve become known as the benchmark in aircraft tactical
communication and audio equipment for Air Ambulance, Law
Enforcement, SAR, EMS, Electronic News Gathering, Military and
Marine applications. Products include digital and analog
radio/audio management systems, Tac/Com, VHF/UHF radio systems,
intercoms, data interface accessories, and aural warning
generators. Role purpose (position scope): This individual performs
maintenance, preventative maintenance, and modifications to
avionics equipment IAW FAR Part 145 repair station regulations.
S/he performs preliminary analyses, alignments, and moderate to
complex troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronics at a
level the meets or exceeds the expected productivity in accordance
with the manufactures approved data and the FAA certified repair
station requirements. Individual must be able to meet all minimum
standards within 90 days. Key Responsibilities: Each technician
must meet the standard job performance criteria and company
policies in addition to the items below. Continued learning and
skills building as required to support the business. Comply with
all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, ISO procedures, and
Canyon AeroConnect policies and procedures. Read, interpret, and
perform maintenance from electronic drawings and documentation to
conduct maintenance tasks. Perform repair rework using solder
equipment to acceptable IPC J-STD specifications. Inspect all
assigned maintenance articles being worked and replacement
materials for defects and proper identification. Record work
performed in a complete and legible manner to ensure proper
traceability. Work diligently to meet standard and expedited work
deadlines as a participant in achieving on-time performance
objectives and customer expectations. Participate and support in
workplace audits and maintain test equipment calibration. Comply
with lean work methods and keep workspace in a clean and orderly
manner. Employees must be physically onsite to perform the
essential functions of their jobs whenever they are scheduled to
work Complies with the Canyon AeroConnect Code of Business Conduct
and Ethics. Comply and uphold Canyon AeroConnect EH&S policies
and standards. Support company warranty reduction and cost
avoidance objectives. Support other Operations department
activities to include production work as assigned. Regular &
Reliable Attendance - Consistent physical presence is required to
effectively perform the job duties necessary for the role to meet
the business needs of the Repair Station. Other duties as assigned
by manager. Core Competencies: Advanced technician with experience
repairing electronic devices specific to the local Canyon
AeroConnect facility Experience on a variety of electronics with
moderate to advanced electronics troubleshooting proficiency Must
be highly productive and able to meet department productivity goals

of the Repair Station Computer proficiency Level III Senior (Highly
Skilled) KNOWLEDGE Full knowledge of the job. Complete acquaintance
with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the
job, and their practical applications to problems and situations
ordinarily encountered. SKILL - Has substantial understanding of
the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range
of routine and non-routine tasks. COMPLEXITY Works on assignments
that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving
issues or in making recommendations. Resolves most questions and
problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
DISCRETION/LATITTUDE - Works under general supervision. No
instructions needed on routine work and general instructions given
on new lines of work or special assignments. May assist in training
Service Tech I and II. Occasionally considered informal coordinator
of team tasks. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE -A 2-year technical
degree, certificate, or equivalent education in electronics or
avionics technology; 5 or more years of technical (component-level)
bench repair experience; FCC license preferred; Eligibility to hold
a 14 CFR Part 65 FAA Repairman certificate Key Measures and

Meet or exceed training assignments Physical Demands: Light to
moderate physical / lifting of products may be required up to 20lbs
20% of the time. Manual dexterity and excellent hand/eye
coordination needed for use of small hand tools, including
soldering 100% of the time. Vision sufficient to work with small
components down to the size of a grain of sand as well as
differentiate colors 100% of the time. The technician may be
exposed to various lighting and odors 20% of the time. May at times
be exposed to chemicals and must use the proper PPE as a
requirement to protect eyes, nose, and skin from contact 100% of
the time. Consistent physical presence is required to effectively
perform the job duties necessary for the role, such as immediate
availability for team collaboration Must be physically onsite to
perform the essential functions of their jobs whenever they are
scheduled to work Must be able to read, write, speak, and
